Gyan Prasad Acharya has tended the fires at one of the Pashupatinath Temple ghats for 30 years. On the days after the earthquake the Ghats at Pashupatinath Temple were overwhelmed. Used traditionally as a place to cremate the dead, the Ghats went from 30 bodies a day to hundreds. Every space along the river was taken up by survivors trying to give loved ones a final farewell.
